Do I need Accounting from the beginning?

The suggested combination focuses on daily operations: POS, Inventory and Purchases & Expenses. Accounting & Reports is an additional choice for financial statements, bank reconciliation and more detailed accounting work.

How do recipe costs fit in?

Add Bills of Materials & Manufacturing to define ingredients and quantities, follow material consumption in production and review product cost. It is separate from the three suggested subscriptions.
